Reasons Why You Should Stay Indoors This Valentines

Don’t get me wrong, I am a complete sucker for a date night. I mean who doesn’t love dressing up fancy and getting wined and dined? We all do. But, the fun doesn’t have to end there. Ever considered just staying indoors, relaxing and enjoying the company of your other half?

I feel that there are too many high/unrealistic expectations that come with the word “Valentines”. This can be such a problem for couples as not all of us have the spare cash to treat our significant others to what they deserve.

Well I’m here to show you that love doesn’t have to be materialistic and you can enjoy Valentines just as much from the comfort of your own home.

Cook A Meal Together And Decorate The Table

Going out for a meal on Valentines can often end up costing you an arm and a leg. Especially if you’re like me and can’t say no to the dessert menu. Who has the time to pay £6 for a chocolate fudge cake? I know I don’t.

By staying indoors and cooking dinner, you can make sure to focus on spending time relaxing and enjoying a fun activity with one another. You won’t be surrounded by hundreds of other couples and you’ll know exactly when your dinner will be served. There’s nothing worse than saying “Oh dinners finally here, I can see it coming!” and then the waiter walks straight past your table to supply another hungry family.

Have A Relaxing Evening Pampering Each Other

When you hear the word ‘pampering’ you automatically think of a spa break somewhere in the middle of the countryside. Let’s be honest, we all know these are great but you have to admit they are far from cheap. Well, by purchasing your own home massage kit it’s both inexpensive and a lot more personal too.

Don’t get me wrong, if your partners anything like mine he’s got no rhythm and is pretty crap at massaging but, I’d rather choose him over another masseuse any day of the week. By having something like the His & Hers Lovin’ massage set from Naissance it gives you a reason to spend some extra romantic quality time together.

In this package, you will receive 2 x 100ml ready to use pre-blended massage oils & wooden massager. These oils contain a combination of Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Ginger, Sandalwood and other carefully chosen essential oils to stimulate and tantalise the senses.

For only £16.99, Naissance have really hit the nail on the head with this gorgeous gift set.

Plan Your Next Adventure Together

With the new year ahead why not spend the evening planning your next trip away? This doesn’t have to be a fancy 5* All inclusive resort but maybe a weekend away to a city you’ve never been to before.

Websites such as Groupon and Wowcher are absolutely fantastic for affordable getaways. My partner & I decided to book a Mystery European trip with Groupon last year and ended up spending 3 nights in Prague.

When you’re only paying £99 for hotel & flights you really can’t complain. So, if this sounds like something you would enjoy I would definitely recommend you checking them deals out.

Snuggle Up & Watch Romantic Comedies

I don’t know about you but my Partner definitely likes to dictate Netflixs when it comes to movie night. However, Valentines is that one night you can tell him to shove those action-packed movies where the sun doesn’t shine and watch Bridget Jones instead.

Exchange Gifts

Of course, Valentines shouldn’t just be about materialistic gifts but, it doesn’t hurt to treat them to one or two little bits right? This year I have kindly been gifted The Man Box by Ross And Ross Food. Which I was over the moon with because I knew it was everything that my boyfriend would have wanted.

Ross & Ross have worked with some of the best artisan producers in the Cotswolds to bring your favourite fella a hamper filled with their finest fare.

The Man box is perfect for not only Valentines Day but any special occasion. Included in the box you will find the typical treats that any man would love. For only £22 you’ll find a bunch of products worthy of treating a king. So, if you really do love your partner and are struggling for ideas, this would be a great gift to purchase this year.

British Charcuterie 100g – Original Salami

Premium Cotswold Lager, 5.0% 330ml

Mr Trotter’s Great British Crackling – Original 60g

Smoked Apple Chutney 115g jar

Have A Cheeky Wine Or Two And Let Loose

Pop your feet up, get the drinks flowing and chill out for the evening. You and your partner are entitled to relax and enjoy each others company so why not. Unfortunately, being pregnant I can’t really jump on the bandwagon with this one but I’d like to make sure you all have a big glass of Vino for me.

Happy Valentines!

The gifts stated in todays post where both Kindly gifted to me however, all opinions are my own. I would never promote a product that I haven’t used or wouldn’t reccomend to my family & friends.

As much as I love date nights at restaurants, having them at home isn’t bad at all. Don’t need to worry about a ton of reservation logistics, just a trip to the supermarket! Oooh, I like the idea of pampering each other. I like that there are kits with a nice scent. Exchanging gifts is a cute idea as well. Oooh, love the goods from the gift set. Thanks for sharing!
