Fun Activities To Add To Your Bucket List This Summer

Can you believe that Summer has finally arrived!? Not only have the days got longer but the weather has also got so much hotter. Unfortunately, Before we know it will be winter again and we’ll all be back in hats and scarfs. So, that leaves the question of how can you make the most of your summer this year?

Aqua Park – Cardiff

We recently got invited down to the fantastic new Aqua Park in Cardiff. Unfortunately due to just having a baby, my body wasn’t quite ready to throw itself into some crazy extreme water sports. However, my partner and brother could not contain their excitment and got invovled straight away. Can you really blame them? I think anyone regardless of their age would get excited if they saw this inflatable obstacle course.

As someone who has never visited Cardiff before I thought the location of the park was great. You can find this activity located in a lovely little section of the well know Cardiff Bay. We ended up arriving early on the day which was fine as we were able to take a wander around the bay beforehand. I would definitely reccomend doing this as it’s a really nice part of Cardiff to visit. The area is full of resturants, gift shops and beautiful scenery so make sure to spare some extra time.

Ready… Set… Go!

The Aqua park is open 7 days a week and starts from around £20 per person. Included in this price you will get your wetsuit, a safety buoyance aid and professional photos taken whilst you play. The only thing that wasn’t included in this price was the cost of lockers. Although, they were free to use. If you did not bring your own padlock you could purchase one from the office on site.

The session begun with a quick safety briefing but before you knew it, you were off on the assault course and making memories. You begin the course by swimming a short distance over to the first obstacle. Here is where you can climb up with the help of underwater steps. The one thing I really liked about this activity was that although it looked like a competitve sport it was just about having fun. You never felt like you were part of a race and you were able to go as fast or as slow as you liked.

I’d also like to mention, I really liked that once you were on the course, you were free to roam as you wish. There were so many different sections you could go and discover. Some areas were harder to reach than others but their was always more than one direction to go. That way if you were struggling with one section you could always skip it and go the other way. I won’t deny that some of the obstacles were challenging but sometimes it’s good to push yourself. There was never a dull moment and the boys had fun nethertheless.
